The Scholastic Summer Scorcher is a tournament designed for players of all skill levels entering grades K-12.
Chess sets will be provided and clocks for the top two sections.
Great playing conditions! Plenty of parking, and many nearby food choices.
Format: 4 Rounds paired ASAP, lunch break after round two.
Sections: Five USCF Rated sections to accommodate players of all levels!
Championship, Under 1400, Under 1000, Under 700, Under 400/unrated.
July supplement ratings will be used to determine player sections. Provisional or online ratings may be used for unrated players.
Time Limit: G/30; d5.
Entry Fee: $30 by midnight 07/20; $35 after.
USCF Rated Event. Free USCF membership included for players without current membership!
Schedule: Doors open at 8:30AM. No on-site registration.
Round 1: 10AM sharp! Estimated Completion: U400, U700, U1000: 2PM. U1400 & Championship: 3PM.
Registration: Online registration closes 9pm 07/21
Prizes: Trophies to all players scoring 3 or higher, medals to all participants.
