David Presser studied mathematics, English and philosophy at Harvard where he played second board on the chess team. He taught mathematics at several universities and high schools before becoming a professional writer. He has a great deal of experience working one-to-one with adults and children on chess, mathematics, English, writing and stress management. David is an avid amateur pianist, speaks a bit of Russian and German, and is a long time student of holistic health and socalled alternative methods of health and healing.
David is a nationally rated Chessmaster and has won many tournaments. He is a former Ohio Champion, Tri-State Champion (Ohio, Michigan and Indiana) and Cleveland Scholastic Champion. He has 20 years of experience teaching chess and enjoys the challenges and rewards of working with children!
