Varun Sathyajeeth is a 16 year old student at Solon High School and lives in Solon, Ohio. His parents taught him how to play chess when he was in the 2nd grade. Since then, Varun has participated in many state and national level tournaments. He is currently the captain of his school’s chess team. Besides chess, Varun enjoys watching sports, specifically the NBA & NFL. His favorite sports team is the Pittsburgh Steelers! Varun began volunteering for ProgressWithChess in July, 2022.
