Arya Babu is a 15 year old sophomore at Hathaway Brown High School. She lives with her parents & her dog named Mozart. She learned chess in 4th grade from her grandpa. Soon after, she started participating in chess camps and grew more interest into the game. She then started competing in many chess tournaments. Besides chess, she is also a piano player. She has been learning piano for the past 11 years! In addition, Arya also enjoys doing fundraisers through “Feel the soul through music”, drawing, and painting! Arya currently teaches piano to kids and volunteers at Shikshadaan & ProgressWithChess. She has been teaching for ProgressWithChess for 2 years now!

Accomplishments:

-An Outstanding Pianist; Won Several competitions & played at Carnegie Hall, New York City (Around 11 Times)

-Performed Piano at Mozarteum in Austria, Royal Concertgrbouw in Amsterdam, Royal Albert Hall in London and Beethoven House in Bonn, Germany.
