Eligibility: Any female student enrolled in an Ohio school in Grades K-12 or home-schooled in Ohio in the same grades who is nineteen years old or younger will be eligible to participate. This event is USCF Rated – annual USCF memberships are provided to all players without current memberships!
Ratings will be determined by the USCF February rating supplement.

Championship Rounds: Round 1 10:00 AM then ASAP, Lunch break after Round 1
All Other Sections: Round 1 10:00 AM then ASAP, Lunch break after Round 2
Individual Competition
Players may request one half point bye for any round except round 5, must commit before round 2 pairings. Unrated players may play in any section. We recommended choosing the lowest rated section. Recording of moves is required for all players in the Championship Section, recommended but not mandatory for the other sections.
Team Competition
Two or more players enrolled in the same school in the same section will be eligible for a team prize. Team scores will be calculated by adding the points accumulated by its four top scoring players in the section.
USCF Memberships
All Sections are USCF rated – – Registration fee includes a one-year USCF membership for all new players or players with expired memberships!
Awards
Trophies will be awarded to all players scoring 3.5 and higher. Team trophies will be given to the top 3 teams in each section. Participation medals to all players. The first place finisher (using tie-breaks) in the Championship section will represent Ohio at the Haring National Tournament of Girls State Champions held at the US Open! If that player declines to participate, the offer will be passed in turn to the next top finisher until a player accepts.
Equipment
Boards and sets will be provided for all games, clocks provided for the Championship and Under 1000 Sections. Clocks will be used at the start of games in the Under 500 only if provided by either player. The tournament director may place a clock on a game in progress to ensure timely completion.

Food and beverages available for purchase at the site. Many hotels within a 5 minute drive.
Entry Fee $40 by 12 AM February 25, $50 after. No on site registrations accepted.
