Ralph Tan is 18 years old and is from Shaker Heights, Ohio. Ralph has recently graduated from Shaker Heights High School (Class of ’22) and is now a student at Saint Louis University (Class of ’26). Ralph has a mother, father, and two younger siblings (who also play chess). Ralph learned how to play chess since the 1st grade from his father and competed in his first chess tournament in 3rd grade. Ralph continues to play chess and strive for the most honorable title in chess, grandmaster. So far, he has achieved the title of National Master. Ralph actively participates in tournaments, teaches chess to students, play online chess, etc. Besides chess, Ralph enjoys the sport of basketball, watching sports/movies/shows, etc. Ralph has been teaching for ProgressWithChess for about 2 years!
