Register your child to participate in the PREMIER chess training program in the Cleveland area!
We have 3 chess level options currently available that offer a learning experience for players of all skill levels, from beginner to advanced.
BEAUTIFUL BEGINNING GRADES K-8
WINTER SESSION: JAN 15 – MAR 19 (10 weeks)
FEE: $160, 2nd-3rd Child $40 less.
BEACHWOOD CLASS SCHEDULE: SUNDAY 1:00-2:15 PM
ROCKY RIVER CLASS SCHEDULE: SUNDAY 11:45-1:00 PM
Beautiful Beginning is a great way to nurture your child’s interest in the game of chess. Your child will thrive in our supportive small group setting. Students will learn the moves of the pieces, all the rules, and be able to play a legal game of chess with friends and family members. Instruction provided by Progress with Chess, a local non-profit organization which has introduced chess to thousands of local students.

Fantastic Foundation is perfect for students who already know the basic rules and are looking to acquire the necessary skills to be successful in tournament play. Students will learn basic tactics, strategy, and checkmate patterns, chess notation, and how to use a chess clock. Classmates will engage in open play under tournament conditions.
CHAMPIONSHIP CHALLENGE GRADES K-12
WINTER SESSION: JAN 15 – MAR 19 (10 weeks)
FEE: $239, 2nd-3rd Child $40 less.
BEACHWOOD CLASS SCHEDULE: SUNDAY 2:30-5:00 PM
ROCKY RIVER CLASS SCHEDULE: SUNDAY 1:00-3:30 PM
Championship Challenge includes experienced tournament players or those who are ready to enter competition. Sessions will include two USCF rated tournament games, with analysis by Progress with Chess Experts and Masters, along with interactive lessons. Free one-year USCF membership for new or expired members! Participants will be divided into groups, according to USCF rating or playing strength.
