The Christopher Yoo Challenge will be conducted online on lichess.org for adult and scholastic players of all levels from all locations.  IM Yoo is 2020 US Cadet Champion and the top rated 14 year old in the US.  He became the youngest International Master in history in February 2019!

First time tournament players are welcome and encouraged to participate!

Format:  Simultaneous Exhibition- IM Yoo will take on 40 players at once!
Time Limit:  G/20 with 10 second increment, IM Yoo G/60+15
Entry Fee: $15, first 40 registrations
Start Time:  7:00 PM EDT
Registration:  At https://www.progresswithchess.org/yoo until 4pm EDT day of; or until 40 registrations are received.  Must be under 2199 USCF to participate.
Prizes: $50 Amazon Gift Cards for a win, $25 Amazon gift card for a draw

Fair Play: Games of all winners will be reviewed. No cameras or Zoom required. Players using engine assistance may be flagged by lichess, reported to the USCF Ethics Committee, and removed from the tournament.
Instructions: will be emailed to all players Thursday evening regarding how to access the simul on lichess.org and watch IM Yoo on Zoom. If you do not already have a lichess account, you will need to create one free at https://lichess.org/signup.
