This event attracts about 200-300 scholastic players and including players from neighboring cities and states! Everybody wins at the GCSCL as trophies are awarded to the winners, team awards awarded to schools, and every child K-8 will receive a chess medal just for summoning the courage to participate! At the higher levels strong scholastic players (some even hold the National Master title) will battle it over the board for $1,500 in scholarship prizes.
The first of the four tournaments is this Saturday, October 30th at Solon Middle School. Full details can be found on the tournament page. Don’t forget to register at progresswithchess.org/gcscl.
We look forward to seeing you there!
