Instructions for the 2022 Louisville Scholastic online chess tournament on Sat March 19th @ 12:00 PM EDT.  There are a few things you need to know.

IF YOU ARE REGISTERED AND CANNOT PLAY PLEASE LET US KNOW.

1. The raffle and tournament announcements will be at 11:30AM on Zoom.  Meeting ID: 918 5512 6972   Passcode: (is in your email)
2. If you do not have a lichess account, please create one and email us your user name.
   3.  We recommend using Google Chrome as your browser.
3. Round 1 starts at exactly 12:00 pm EST.  Please allow plenty of time to join the tournament before then.
4. If you playing in the Collegiate Championship section you must be on a side angled camera on Zoom.
   5.  Sections will be combined if needed.
   6.  Winners will be announced on Zoom at 5PM

FULL INSTRUCTIONS TO JOIN THE TOURNAMENT

Step 1:
Join Zoom Meeting
Meeting ID: 918 5512 6972  Passcode is in the email you received

Step 2:
Log into your lichess account:
Enter your lichess user name and password on lichess.org.  If you see your user name in the upper right corner then you are now logged in.

Step 3:
Click on the Team link:
https://lichess.org/team/louisville-scholastic-open

Step 4:
Click on YOUR SECTION located next to the rabbit icon.  If needed, click the green JOIN BUTTON once again. Enter the password you received by email.

Step 5:
Once you see your username in the player list you are all set!
Where the JOIN button was it will now say “Withdraw”.  

Your first game will begin at exactly 12:00 PM EDT.
Rounds will be paired ASAP! Next round will start 5 minutes after all games finish in a section.

Computer Assistance: Assistance from chess playing engines and software is against the rules and will not be tolerated. Any player who uses such assistance will have their Lichess account flagged, will not receive prizes, and will be banned from Progress with Chess tournaments.
